Welcome to Beaumont Street Studios Huddersfield

Beaumont Street Studios (BSS) is a music and media production, training, facilities hire company and recording studio. It was set up in 1985 by the Huddersfield West Indian Association. We are a not-for-profit company and our services are particularly geared to addressing needs in disadvantaged communities across Yorkshire. We specialise in training, supporting people into employment/self employment and providing opportunities for involvement music, media and the cultural industries.

BSS currently provides the following services:

• Media skills training in music technology, video, multimedia/website production and radio production and broadcasting
• Community media production projects
• Mentoring services for people seeking employment.

Beaumont Street Studios is committed to:

• community based arts and media production and training;
• professional standards of production and service delivery;
• cross-subsidy of community activity through commercial work;
• initiating and supporting projects which promote community regeneration;
• providing a link between community, education/learning and industry;
• enabling and encouraging participation in arts, music and media activities and careers.
