beaumont street studios

Beaumont Street Studios is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Huddersfield West Indian Association in 1985.

For over 19 years now, BSS has worked to provide learning, training and employment opportunities for disadvantaged people.

BSS combines generic support to disadvantaged individuals and communities in learning, training, skills development and accessing employment with work in the creative sector (using mainly music and media production).

our celebration

Based in York, Our Celebration has operated successfully since 1986. It has an 11 staff team along with 10 regular volunteers.

Our Celebration provides training projects and sheltered workshop clubs for adults recovering from mental ill health.

They have 18 years experience of delivering and providing activities and support for people with mental health problems.

Our Celebration covers the York and Selby areas, delivering highly professional services and courses in Information and Communications Technology or Catering and Hospitality.

york training centre

York Training Centre is a training provider which is also a part of the City of York Council.

Based in central York and easily accessible, they offer job seeking programmes together with a wide range of short courses and vocational training.

York Training Centre provide 10 hours per week intensive, individually focused activity, providing individual action plans, job skills workshops and specialist benefits into work advice to people living in the Selby area.

future prospects

Future Prospects is a not-for-profit community partnership involving York College and City of York Council.

It was formed in 1992 and has 40 members of staff.

Future Prospects works closely with Job Centre Plus and the Disability Employment Advisers in York and is the only agency in York that supports Incapacity Benefit claimants on Supported/Permitted Work.

Future Prospects provide 10 hours per week intensive, individually focused activity, providing individual action plans, job skills workshops and specialist benefits into work advice.

ripon community link

Founded in 1990, Ripon Community Link has 7 full time, 13 part time and 7 volunteer workers.

Ripon Community Link covers Ripon, Northallerton, Harrogate, Thirsk and Knaresborough.

They provide a community based day service with a range of learning and physical disabilities.

Ripon Community Link deliver information and guidance, CV completion, indentification and addressing barriers to work, improving motivation and confidence, pre-employment support and training opportunities to people with learning disabilities.

next choice

Next Choice is a registered charity working in the Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale areas.

They provide assistance, group work, activities, courses and therapy to people recovering from drugs and alcohol addiction.
