• Experienced JCP adviser with extensive knowledge of Jobcentre Plus and New Deal
• Unique understanding of the benefit system, as a lone parent recipient and also as an employee, of both 'out of work' and in-work' benefits
• Accomplished at identifying barriers to employment and devising strategies to overcome them
• Comprehensive experience of working with and supporting unemployed adults to develop employability skills
• Skilled at communicating and interacting with individuals and groups
  

Expertise in:

• Income support, Working Families Tax Credit, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit calculations and entitlement
• Information, advice and guidance on all aspects of jobsearch techniques
• Researching and identifying appropriate training for unemployed adults
• Designing and delivering presentations on Work Based Learning for Adults and New Deal to a variety of audiences
• Networking with partner and support agencies
