Charity event set for success

York musician Phil Gallagher has received a fantastic response from fellow musicians for a baby care charity event.

Phil, on New Deal 25+, has organised the all-day gig on St. Patrick's Day to benefit the special baby care unit in his home city.

"With fifteen acts on the bill, the response to the event has been brilliant," said Phil. "The experience of organising this has been totally rewarding."

Phil, who is also busy doing solo gigs around York, received help from his consultant to put both this event and others he has been responsible for, including a Battle of the Bands contest in York.

"The suggestions and guidance from my consultant has been very useful, especially when deciding what kind of venues to approach.
