Ready2Burn is a great opportunity for young musicians who are serious about their music to gain professional advice and assistance. It's open to bands whose members are all aged between 11 and 18, in the Kirklees, Calderdale, Wakefield and Barnsley areas.

Bands/groups selected for the scheme get:

• 6 mentor sessions with an experienced professional musician involved in the recording industry
• 1 day pre-production with a record producer
• 2 days at Beaumont Street Studios professional recording of the band's original material
• professionally mastered CD demo + information pack

Places are limited and demand is high, but we are looking for originality and potential, rather than achievement. We are open to all styles of music, and expect only commitment and enthusiasm.

Bands/groups, or in some cases, individual artists will first submit an application form and a recording for consideration. Once accepted on to the scheme, we will set up a meeting with one of our mentors, either coming to one of your rehearsals or at Beaumont Street Studios. We will then make a decision about how to proceed.

Bands that have successfully completed the scheme will be showcased in the Ready2Burn tour autumn 2002-spring 2003. Look out for details on the newsletter page.
